The 23rd annual festival Rendez-vous Rustico will be held in partnership with Fédération culturelle de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard (FCIPE) on July 30 in Grande-Rustico.

“Carnaval en promenade” is the theme and this year’s event which will present activities to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation. The festival will celebrate the diverse culture of Canada in 2017 with dance, music and the tradition arts of the circus.

Now an Island tradition, Lennie Gallant’s concert will take place on July 30 at l’église Saint-Augustin in Rustico. The Rustico-born musician will share the stage with a number of surprise guests. Lennie says that he would not miss this “soirée” for anything in the world, “Pour moi, le Rendez-vous Rustico est toujours le spectacle le plus amusant de l’année.” For 20 years Lennie has been bringing his loyal audiences back for this show at the oldest wooden church on PEI.

Maude Desjardins, présidente du Conseil acadien de Rustico, welcomes everyone to come and enjoy the “la Joie de vivre” Acadienne and francophone at Rendez-vous Rustico. The detailed program of the festival will be available soon at and Facebook @rdvrustico
