Cadence

Mack, The (MacKenzie Theatre)

Cadence

Thursday, May 03, 2018, 07:30pm

JUNO award-winning a capella group Cadence is coming to The Mack on May 3 at 7:30 pm with a show that promises to push vocal boundaries.

A capella is when a group of people come together to make music on their own with no instruments or effects—just the sound of voices harmonizing. Toronto-based Cadence differs from other a capella groups because of the range of  their ability to vocal play. They have spent years training their voices to make musical arrangements that contain the richness of a full band, but are performed using just their four voices.

“We like to push limits with our voices to make sounds that people can’t believe we can make,” says Kurt Sampson vocal and percussionists for Cadence. “People usually don’t believe us until they see our show.”
