The Days Ahead: a Diva Day cabaret

Guild, The

Friday, August 10, 2018, 08:00pm - 09:45pm

Diva Day aims to empower young women to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in their bodies and in our world through sharing stories, music, and menstrual cups.

In July 2017, one hundred and seventy girls in Butere, Kenya were gifted a menstrual cup to ensure that they would never have to miss a day of school again due to their period.

The Days Ahead features returned Island performer Melissa MacKenzie, joined by female-identifying artists from Anne & Gilbert, the Charlottetown Festival Young Company, and the Confederation Players.

The Days Ahead seeks to explore phenomenal womanhood and how we can use our voices to effect change in our broken world (perhaps even through singing, no less).

Tickets are available in person or online at The Guild. 100% of the proceeds will go directly towards Diva Day 2019, to continue empowering women's education. For more information about Diva Day, please visit
