Your Scottish Ancestry

The Souris Silver Threads Club

The PEI Scottish Settlers Historical Society (PEISSHS) will host an information session on “Your Scottish Ancestry” August 18 from 2–4 pm at The Souris Silver Threads Club, 75 Main St, Souris. There will be presentations, discussion, artifacts and refreshments. There will be a presentation on the Clan MacCormack who arrived on the Alexander in 1772. There will also be a presentation on Glenaladale Estate on Tracadie Bay now owned by the Glenaladale Heritage Trust Inc. Come and hear about the plans and vision for the property and how you can be a part of it. Families associated with The Alexander emigration include MacDonald, MacInnis, Campbell, Beaton, MacIsaac, Curry, MacKinnon, MacNab, MacEachern, Gillis, MacIntosh, MacLeod, MacMillan, MacDougald, MacPhee and more. Everyone is welcome.
