Georgetown

Friday, September 07, 2018, 10:00am - 01:00pm

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Charlottetown will be open for public tours while alongside at Berth 1 in Georgetown on September 7 from 10 am–1 pm.

HMCS Charlottetown is one of twelve Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigates, which are multi-role vessels with anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship capability. The ship is visiting PEI as a final port visit upon conclusion of its participation in Operation NANOOK. Operation NANOOK, Canada’s largest annual operation in the North, builds on the Canadian Armed Forces ability to operate in the challenging Arctic environment and to provide a rapid response to safety and security issues.
