Etsy Made in Canada

Murphy Community Centre

Saturday, September 29, 2018, 10:00am - 05:00pm

On September 29, there will be pop up markets organized by local Etsy sellers taking place in dozens of cities across the nation for Etsy Made In Canada Day. 2018 marks the 5th year for this event, which the Etsy Artisans of PEI have participated in since year one. Team Captain and event organizer Suzanne Scott was approached by Etsy Canada in 2013 to attend a summit in Toronto to start planning this one-day, nation-wide event. Fast forward five years, Etsy Team PEI now has 3 markets a year: Made In Canada day in September, a two day Holiday Market at the end of November and a large Spring event at the Delta at the end of April which brings in Etsy sellers from the maritime provinces in addition to the PEI artisans.

The events have grown in popularity over the years and there are always new vendors participating. The next market takes place September 29 from 10 am–5 pm at Murphy's Community Centre. There will be a selection of PEI artisans selling their wares along with a dozen Maritime Makers, live music, door prizes and food trucks. Admission is $5 in support of the PEI Humane Society.
