Dave Mayne is coming home and he's bringing New Brunswick talent with him.

Known in the local music and festival scene as DJ DMayne Event, Dave will play two shows in Charlottetown this October and he's excited to feature some of his new favourite artists from the Saint John area, having moved there a little over a year ago.

Dave's years dj-ing music festivals and non-stop dance parties has refined his mixes to beloved throwbacks, curveballs and guilty pleasures. Both nights in Charlottetown will feature DMayne opening the show, playing between sets and closing it out with his party-style beats. Shows start at 10 pm.

Singer/songwriter Jerry Faye (coincidentally, Dave's new step-daughter) and Blues band Jamie Comeau and the Crooked Teeth will share the stage with DMayne Event October 12 at Sportsman's Club, 175 Great George Street.

Jerry Faye has been playing shows and music festivals around the Maritimes since she was a young teen. Her lyrics are soul-filled and Dave says, "her catchy punky tunes will have you singing along with her as she navigates through the pain and joys of life." Jerry-Faye will be backed by the Crooked Teeth for this show.

They have been playing non-stop ever since, including the main stage at this year’s Folly Fest. Amassing throngs of fans at every show, organizers say that "even Saint John’s mayor threw a huge party just to share the bands’ awesomeness with the port city."

You can catch DMayne Event with southern New Brunswick band, Math Class, on October 20 at Baba’s Lounge, 181 Great George Street.

Dave says, "Math Class has evolved into a 'New Form' — meaning electro-dance parties form in their wake and they are guaranteed to get you moving! The 4-piece Rocktronica group boasts 4 synths on stage, saturating the sonic texture of dance halls swept up into a fury of lights and dance."
