Public Symposium: Measuring Quality of Life on Prince Edward Island

The public is invited to a Public Symposium, “Measuring Quality of Life on Prince Edward Island,” on November 22 at 7 pm at UPEI’s MacKinnon Auditorium, Room 242, McDougall Hall, Charlottetown. This event is sponsored by UPEI’s Institute of Island Studies, in conjunction with UPEI Research Services. Speaker will be Gwen Colman, who, along with her husband Ron, founded GPI Atlantic: Genuine Progress Index for Atlantic Canada, a non-profit research and education organization that develops and promotes the Genuine Progress Index, a new measure of sustainability, well-being, and quality of life. The Symposium features panel members from PEI including Dr. Jim Randall, co-holder of the UNESCO Chair in Island Studies and Sustainability, who will address the relevance of GPIs to the health and prosperity of this island. There will be time for discussion and questions.
